'Stumble Saturday'

In an effort to become a better blogger this year, I've decided to have "themes" for a few days of the week and really make an effort to keep up with them. Well, today may be the 10th of January, but better late than never, right?

A few weeks ago, I ran across a cool site called Stumble Upon and quickly joined up. I love having the stumble button on my tool bar... it has created endless internet fun while middle-of-the-night nursing sessions! I've found so many cool sites with it so I just had to make it one of my weekly themes... Here's the deal... I'll log into blogger, begin my post then hit stumble - I'll just blog about what ever I come across!!!

Without further ado, this is what I stumbled upon today!

Panoramic View of The Eiffel Tower by Dennis Gliksman

How cool is that?? To get the full effect, watch it on full-screen mode! I let MJ play with my mouse while I had it pulled up and it made me a bit sick... talk about motion sickness!! If you want to see more, be sure to check out the Panorams.dk Main Page

Well, I do believe that the 'Stumble Saturday' is off to a good start! Be sure and stay tuned to see what the rest of the themes are!!!

(Shameless plug here) If you'd like to help boost the ratings of Maddie Dean Photography, feel free to give me a review on Stumble Upon, just click the stumble icon below. While you're there, you might as well sign up for you own account and see what awesome stuff you can find on the 'net!!

Give me a thumbs up!

The Big Bash....

Poor little Man... Aiden's 2nd birthday was rained-out. The storms rolled in around 10:30 Saturday morning and still haven't left! God had it all under control though. Because of the rain not many could come which was a blessing-in-disguise as we invited those who did show up over to the house! YIKES! I would have freaked if everyone had shown up. We had a nice time though and thankfully Aiden was really too young to understand that he wasn't going to swim!

Tyler + Jenny :: Love

I came home to visit my parents just for this weedding. Jenny's parents are dear family friends and I used to babysit the bride and her brothers. Talk about making a person feel old!!! Jenny and her mom asked that I take a few pictures through out the day: bridal luncheon, hair and makeup, ect. It was nice to not have the pressure of being the "official" photographer. I was able to just relax and have fun. I hope that I got them some images that captured the day. Thanks Jenny and Donna for having me tag along. And to Jenny & Tyler - I wish you guys nothing but the best!!

My BFF!

We went to Canadian today so that Nannie could show of the great-grandbabies at bridge club and poor Aiden was scared silly when we walked in the door and 12 old women started fussing over him!! At least Madeline was too young to realize that it's not cool to have your cheeks pinched :) After they left my best friend Amanda and her husband John stopped by for a visit. They were in town to see Amanda's new nephew (7.28.08 and weighing 10 lbs 10 oz!!!!!!!) I hadn't seen her since Christmas -We really hate living so far apart! She got to meet Madeline and her husband was finally able to meet Aiden. I think John was more partial to Maddie though - hoping it gave him some baby fever!! Snapped a few pictures from our visit and since I have some faithful blog readers who accuse me of not sharing enough, so I figured I'd put them here!

All in a day!

I purchased a new lens this past week (the 85mm 1.8 baby!!) and had to get out and play around with it today! Ba dap bop ba ba - I'm Lovin it!!! The bokah is incredible - so silky! I think this is going to easily become my new favorite lens! I'm having some issues with my camera bag and while I was out this morning taking pictures for the manufacture, this beautiful monarch butterly decided to hang around! Then while I was photographing Mindy and Drake this afternoon, the rainbow appeared. And lastly, a storm rolled in tonight so I grabbed my camera and headed out. I stood against Gordon's pickup for almost 50 mintues and came away with ONE shot with a lightening bolt!!! Anyways, just thought I'd share and talk about how much I'm loving this new glass! I have a maternity session tomorrow in Amarillo and can't wait to use this lens!

The big T-W-Ohhh

I got to spend some time this evening with Mr. Drake and his Mama! Our boys were due on the same day but Drake was born 4 days later! I can't believe they are almost two!! It's crazy!! Hope you enjoy your sneak peek Mindy - maybe it'll hold you over till I get back to Houston.

Maddie Dean Photography is SEARCHING!

I'm in the process of updating my portfolio, and in order to do so, I need guinea pigs. LOL.

I'm currently in need of:
1 Newborn Session
1 Big Dreamer Session (ages 2-10)
1 Tween session (ages 11-14)
1 High School Senior to serve as an ambassador for Maddie Dean Photography
2 Maternity Sessions
1 Family Session
2 Couples/Engagement Sessions (you can already be married, I won't tell)
1 Trash The Dress Session. I prefer bridal, but prom dress would work as well.

If you fit any of those descriptions, contact me to find out how you can book your discounted session.

Rainy Day

What do you do when it's rainy (and HOT) outside? You finish sewing an outfit then torture the new baby with pictures :)

Aunt Karen ROCKS!

We spent our morning at "Aunt Karens" swimming with some friends. Aiden is still pretty unsure of the water - you know that bothers his fishy-mama!! Mike has taught him how to jump in from the side, so that's all he wanted to do - ugh! I got tired of lifting his two-ton-soaking-wet-self out of the pool! Oh well, at least he had fun. I think all the kiddo did - even Maddie! Well, I guess she was having fun - she pretty much slept the entire time :)

-Sarah-

(Thanks Aunt Karen - we had a BLAST!)
