'My Life' Monday

Yikes! I can't believe it's already 11:30... Where did my day GO? I've been running around like crazy trying to get caught up on laundry and pack for myself and 2 kids for a week at Gigi & Joejoe's house! I'm starting to really feel the crunch now. With every hour that passes I think my to-do list is lengthened by at least 3 or 4 items!! Ahh, oh well... somehow it will all get done. In case you're wondering, the only reason I have time to make this post is because I'm feeding MJ :)

-Sarah-

PS. Head over to my crafty blog, and take a look at the beautiful scarf I'm giving away!!

Told you I have lots of Laundry!

Bags all ready to go... well, ready to go on the bed to be packed :)

And just because they're cute..... Madeline and Aiden.....

'My Life' Mondays

Yah Yah, so it's really Wednesday, but I promise I have good reason for falling behind! Mike got sick on Friday evening and felt the need to share it with the rest of the family!! We both high-tailed it to the doctor on Monday and learned that we have bronchitis. Could have fooled me, I swear I had something that was going to kill me! Of course, Mj and Aiden weren't immune to this and they've been running fever off and on all week as well. Trust me, it hasn't been pretty around here. I think the lowest point was last night when my fever hit 103.9! Mike said I was a bit loopy - talking jibberish and doing lots of moaning. We probably should have been at the ER, but it seemed like a better idea to wait it out and be miserable at home than to wake up two sick kids and camp at the ER. I think we can only get better now... last night had to have been rock bottom!!

Anyway, here's a glimpse into My life. Now, normally this will come on Mondays..
unless we're all dying from the flu bug!

Welcome to my life!

What happens when sweet little boys get sick? They get to lay in Mommy & Daddy's bed and watch movies. All. Day. Long.

4 Blissful Years

That's how long I've been married to my best friend, Michael!! We didn't do a whole lot to celebrate - just a quiet evening at home 1/2 kidless. Aiden was able to go to an hourly day care and play for a bit, but the infant room was booked. Miss Madeline stayed home with us. She ate green beans while Mike and I had shrimp/chicken pasta then she watched Hancock with us! Talk about an exciting evening :) I look forward to the rest of our lives!!

If you know me well, you know that I have a strong hatred of any form of seafood, so for this stuff to even be in my home is huge. Not only was it in my kitchen, but I touched it - I shelled it and cooked it all on my own. Now that is love folks!!

The yummy dessert that Mike picked up when I made him go buy the shrimp :) Hey! I at least did the cooking

My anniversary present! Yes, it was really a faucet. Did you know that the modern 4th anniversary gift is an appliance? Though it's not super romantic, it is something that we desperately needed!!! Yeah for my hubby!!

Madeline Jewel Collins

Our sweet baby girl was born last Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 6:20 PM. She weighed a whopping 7 lbs 2 oz (amazing since I gained 11 pounds!) and was 20 inches long! Little chunker was 2 weeks early but still bigger than her brother! She's a doll and we're already totally in love! She has her daddy well-wrapped around her tiny fingers! We've been busy will all the changes that come with a newborn and toddler but we're hanging in there! Not sure what I'd do with out my mom though! Her birth couldn't have been more perfect. All our prayers were well-answered! It was incredible and *almost* makes me want another! She came quickly - only 5 hrs! Well, she's stirring so I'd better go. Just wanted to announce that she's here!

MUCH Needed Vacation

I spent the past weekend relaxing with my family on the shores of the Guadalupe River and Lake McQueeney. We rented a quaint little home right on the water and had a blast doing nothing! It was so refreshing to just all be together. With all the kids getting older it's getting more and more difficult to all be in one place at the same time! Even my grandmother made the trip! I was such a bad photographer this weekend, I didn't get a single picture of the property! But, it was nice! My brother brought the boat and a few friends and we spent all day Saturday on the water! Even Aiden bear got a taste of tubing fun! I can't believe that ol Glastron is still going - lots of memories from that boat. I only wish my Papa had been with us... I think we were all in agreement about making this an annual trip!

Enjoy the pictures!

A mama can dream, right?

Michael has been asking me what I'd like for Mother's day... hmm....

1. Bathroom remodel finished
2. Closets redone and floors put in
3. New master vanity with two sinks
4. The front flower beds rebuilt and filled with colorful flowers
5. A maid service
6. Kitchen and entry textured and painted
7. laundry finished AND ironed
8. A GOOD family portrait
9. and
10. and.

Okay... I bet he wishes he'd never asked! I can always dream, right? One thing this mama photog really wants? A Shoot Sac!!!... of course I still love my black and whites, so the Baroque Cover would be a must.....

So honey, if you read this... here's my Mother's Day wish list!!
I love you, by the way!!

Second time's a charm!

Since my first attempt at bluebonnet pictures with Aiden was a bust, Mike and I trekked out again yesterday evening to give it another try! I wouldn't exactly say it was "successful" but it definitely went better than Tuesday did! Aiden hadn't had a nap and it was evident as soon as we got there but I was determined to get a few shots! Mike even took over the camera for a bit and came out with a few good ones! We forgot to leave the snack trap in the car so that blasted orange thing is in most of the pictures! Oh well, at least I got my 2008 Blue Bonnet pictures!!

My super talented hubby took these!

Cowboy up Lil Brother!

It's hard to believe, but my little brother is a SENIOR this year!! It really doesn't seem like *that* long ago that I was dressing him up in my cabbage patch clothes or walking around singing the buddy song with him! Gordo definitely walks to the beat of his own unique drum, but I still love him all the same. A few weeks ago we walked the streets of Gruene, Tx together taking some senior shots.... Talk about a challenge - I think brothers who suffer from senior-itis may be the most difficult clients, ever. Just kidding - it wasn't so bad! We had a good time and I'm glad he was such a trooper!

-Sarah-

Sorry Gordo, but there needed to be some embarrassing pictures in this post - but don't feel too bad since you can see what I looked like too!!

Just a few hours old
