Well, to say that this flight was much smoother than the last is an understatement! I think it helped that Aiden didn't smash his finger as we were walking out the door. Both of my kids were Saints - at one point I had to wonder what happened to my real kids. :) Aiden was obsessed with the planes and I'm sure he drove everyone around us crazy with this excitement. That little cary-on chair is A-mazing! There is no way I could fly without it. Plus a caryon is perfect for me to pack all of my camera gear. (not brave enough to check that!!) People were focused on how cute MJ was then would bust out laughing when I'd walk past with a kid attached to my suitcase. I'm sure it's quiet a sight! I have no idea how many times I've flown (bunches!) but I've never taken my camera on the flight with me (Washington, D.C. in 7th grade doesn't count!!) Fortunately both flights were fairly empty so I didn't look like a complete fool. I at least left my flash in the bag.... Guess I was feeling some conviction for not taking my camera with me everywhere and getting more pictures of my kids and their every-day-life. We made it though and are enjoying our last trip to 1514 Texas St, though I admit that I'm very sad... I still can't believe that after 16 years my parents are moving.... going home will never be the same!
Enjoy!

This is how we roll :)

MJ loved the plane... as long as she had that thumb in her mouth!

Aiden spent most of the flight just like this... glued to the window....

My view at 40k feet....

I wish I knew what he was thinking about....

Poor little guy was just exhausted!
I had to LOL when I saw that first one! Too cute and only you would've thought of something like that. MJ has gotten so big!
ReplyDeleteWhat a way to fly! I love it. That has GOT to be the best way to travel with two little ones--no matter the stares and laughs. That had to be easier on you!
ReplyDeleteMJs eyes are soooo beautiful. Wouldn't it be wonderful to get inside our children's heads sometimes to know just what they're thinking when they're deep in thought like that? Other times I might NOT want to know, but definitely when they're concentrating so hard on something.
I am so glad your kids did great for you.. that makes a world of a difference when flying. AND, MJ is precious... I cannot believe how fast she has grown.
ReplyDeleteYah there are times when I'd love to know what my kids are thinking... and other times, I don't want to have a clue. That child is crazy.
